Shooting Skills Coach
Steven Binder has been involved with basketball for over thirty-six years –as a player at all levels including college, as well as a coach, conducting showcases and clinics for over 22 years.
Steven’s core asset as a player was his shooting ability. Playing on a nationally ranked high school team and at Curry College gave Steven plenty of excellent competition. Coach Binder was nationally ranked in the top ten of the NCAA for Free Throw and Field Goal percentage from 1982-1984; and was nominated for the GTE Academic All-New England and All-American teams. Steven also played on numerous Pro-Am Teams. Coach Binder founded the NY Metro Elite Basketball Showcases for high school players (both boys and girls) to play in front of college coaches, scouts and recruiters. Since 1988, over 600 players who have attended NY Metro Elite Basketball Showcases have been recruited by colleges. He attends and conducts clinics on a year-round basis. He is also an IAABO official.
Coach Binder has also studied the fundamentals of shooting and has helped youth, high school and college players become better shooters.
The Shooting Coach helps players achieve results through proper techniques.

What you will learn: Proper fundamentals of becoming an excellent shooter. How to practice-over and over again. Train your mind and body so you can shoot better without fail.
Improving your shot: Observe the pattern of shots taken and missed. Why are shots missed? Learn the fundamentals to become a better shooter.
The System: Learn about B.E.E.F-Balance, Eyes, Elbow, and Follow-through. You will be taught the fundamentals for better shooting, proper mechanics, jump shooting, foul shooting and the learned skill of getting open to receive the ball and shoot. Work-outs can include physical conditioning too.
Practice…Practice…Practice. Only if you have learned the Fundamentals.
